After the Wahkiakum Mules took third place in 2B State baseball, Hank Ferguson returned to Wheeler Field in Centralia on June 1 to play in the 40th annual Senior All Star Baseball game.

Ferguson was one of 40 players selected in the state of Washington to play in the game. Players represented every classification from 1B to 4A.

Ferguson played four innings at first base and four in his usual spot as catcher.

"Hank had several nice digs behind the dish and a couple at first base as well," Coach Marc Niemeyer said. "He was 2-3 at bat with a walk. Both hits were beautiful middle way hits."

Ferguson played for the Nationals, who lost 7-1 to the Americans in the first game and tied 10-10 in the second.
