This past week was busy for the Wahkiakum 4-H Robotics Club, giving two presentations. The first one was Monday evening to the Marine Council. The kids were a bit nervous but it didn't take long and they gained confidence speaking about the different teams in the club with emphasis in the Marine Advanced Technology Education.

"I think the behavior of your students tells it all," said Chair Mr. Culbertson. He could tell by their enthusiasm in their presentation that they enjoy what they are learning.

The second presentation was held Wednesday evening at the Community Center. They were invited to speak by Community Center coordinator Kelly Patterson after having held a family night there in May. Stations were set up around the room with tables displaying different robots for land, air, and water. The middle of the floor was open for demonstrating the robots to the public.

One gentleman who learned programming in college thought it was great that programming has been brought to a level that even a 7-year old can learn. Mariane Brightbill made a donation to the robotics club, for which they are grateful.

For those who have kids interested in the program, their first meeting will be Tuesday, September 12 at the Wahkiakum High School Tech Room, starting at 7 p.m.
