A celebration of local harvest including all things cranberry will be held at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum, 115 SE Lake Street, Ilwaco on October 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Foods, crafters, local artists, and more will showcase the area’s rich heritage during this popular fair. Collectible Cranberrian Fair buttons are $5 each and cover admission to all events and exhibits at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum for both days. The Cranberry Museum, 2907 Pioneer Rd., Long Beach, is free.

The harvest demonstration begins with flooding the field and the beating of the berries at 9 a.m. The Cranberry Museum gift shop will open at 9 a.m. both days and there will be cranberry treats and coffee in the morning and a lunch menu will provide all things cranberry.

The Cranberry Trolley will run from 10-3:30 Saturday and 10-2 Sunday from the Cranberry Museum to the museum in Ilwaco.

Local author Sydney Stevens will sign copies of the Arcadia Press book, Images of America: Washington’s Cranberry Coast at the Cranberry Museum Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the CPH museum from 2-4 p.m. both days.

A variety of local artists will offer pottery, jewelry, paintings, cranberry vine baskets, baked goods and more. Demonstrations will be given by the Peninsula Rug Hookers, the Peninsula Quilt Guild, blacksmith Gary Lewis and other artists both Saturday and Sunday. Fresh local cranberries are available both days and the 1889 railcar Nahcotta will be open for tours with members of the Nahcotta Preservation Committee.
