Although the Holiday Bazaar was supposed to start at 10 in the morning, patrons and vendors alike were quickly gathering to peruse the variety of items for sale along with a variety of baked goods ranging from pies, cookies, assorted breads and rolls.

On Saturday, the Rosburg Hall hosted vendors who sold items ranging from typical yard sale items to fancy jewelry, wooden lamps, scented waxes, and too many other things to describe. Tables for the vendors were only $10 per table. Raffle tickets were sold for seven baskets with various items in each one. The lucky winning tickets will be drawn on December 16, 2018. The ladies in the kitchen worked steadfastly from the night before. They arrived at eight in the morning to prepare the 11:30 a.m. lunch consisting of baked chicken, salad, dinner rolls with fresh butter, coffee and punch. Barbara Rose, Sonja Kruse, Joyce Bolton, and Cindi Lahti were the kitchen staff who worked so diligently to bring the community a quality meal for only $7. Cindi Lahti promptly drafted Sherriff Howie to help her for a few minutes. He happily obliged, although he had come to shop.

Wahkiakum County can be proud of the people who volunteer and serve this wonderful community. It is inspiring to see people get together for business and pleasure in support of one another. What was witnessed and possibly taken for granted was a unity of sorts that boggles the mind of most from the bigger cities. They just do not get it. Well, this county does.
