October has been a busy month for our CTE and FFA program here at Wahkiakum High School.

Not pictured, illustrates members of the FFA volunteering at the Duck Inn for the Ducks Unlimited dinner. The students helped cook and deliver crab and oysters, then proceeded to help out with any task that needed to be accomplished during the rest of the event.

Not pictured, Mr. Aegerter, who volunteers his time throughout the year in Agriculture Science class, came in as a guest and lectured about thermal zones and nutrients.

In Picture 2, Mr. Lawrence came in to the Agriculture Fabrication class, which has been working on the school's flat bed and helped the students replace the fuel pump.

Not pictured, the fisheries class made salmon life cycle books, then they arranged with the kindergarten class to go and read and teach them about the salmon life cycle.

Not pictured, Brian Delmar from LCC came into the Agriculture Fabrication classes and touched on the tech prep credits between Wahkiakum CTE courses and LCC, then helped register the students.

Not pictured, a member from Cal State Maritime who spoke with the students about the education that they have to offer at their institution.

Not pictured, Cathlamet FFA had State Sentinel Karlee Hansen from Ellensburg speak to chapter members and do workshops throughout the day.

In Picture 4, the Cathlamet FFA hosted the kindergarten and third and fourth grade classes up to Mr. Hurley's room to carve pumpkins.

Picture 12 shows the Agriculture Science students transplanting in the greenhouse.

Also not pictured: We would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Russell Reese who is a firefighter in Longview. He came into the Leadership/JAG class and discussed his profession and answered questions from the students.
