Wahkiakum basketball teams traveled to the east side of the state last week to play Colfax and participate in a tournament hosted by Colton, a 1B school.

The Lady Mules beat Colfax 73-46 on Thursday.

Macie Elliott scored 25 points and had 10 assists and seven rebounds. Kimberlee Watkins added 10 points and seven rebounds. Charlie Ashe had nine points. Ellie Leitz contributed eight. Jansi Merz had seven points. Paige Mace had six. Mckensi Fluckiger had four. Miya Kerstetter and Megan Leitz added two each.

Asher Cai scored 18 for the Bulldogs.

On Friday, the team began the Colton Christmas Tournament with a 40-27 win against Garfield-Palouse.

The next day, the Lady Mules lost for the first time this season to an unbeaten 1B Colton team, 56-54. Colton has won the State 1B tournament nine times in the last 10 years.
