Jayne Poppe went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 25, 2018. She was born July 13, 1932 in Colton, Oregon to Sam and Dessel (Crawford) Gray. Jayne went to school in Colton, first grade to high school graduation. Her home was across from the school so she was involved in many activities there. When she wasn't in school, she was very involved with 4-H. Jayne graduated from Colton High School in 1950. After graduation, Jayne had a couple of odd jobs. Then she began to work for Kapler Lumber Company in Mulino, Oregon. After work, she began taking flight lessons from a co-worker. While taking these classes, Jayne met Ray Poppe. Six months later they were married on June 28, 1953. They would have been married 65 years in June 2018. However, Ray passed on January 9, 2018. Jayne is survived by a daughter, Moni; two sons, Steve (Sue) and Russ (JoAnn); a beloved nephew, Mike; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Jayne was preceded in death by her husband, Ray (2018) and parents, Sam (1984) and Dessel (1978).

Services will be on January 11, 2019 at 11:00 am. These services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 2071 Bishop Road, Chehalis, WA with internment at Claquato Cemetery, Chehalis, WA.

Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or The American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Lewis County, 1313 Broadway, Suite 100, Tacoma, WA 98402.
