Mules fall to Pirates, roll over Mounties

K.C. Beery hits a jumper for two in the Wahkiakum Mules' 59-47 win against Rainier.

The Wahkiakum Mules boys basketball team split games last week.

The Mules traveled to Adna last Wednesday and lost 67-36.

Luke Brown scored 11 points to lead the Mules. Brody Carlson and K.C. Beery added eight points each. Logan LaBerge had five points. Evan Quigley and Quentin Nelson finished the game with two points apiece.

On Friday in front of a home crowd, the Mules pulled ahead of the Rainier Mountaineers and never looked back, winning 59-47.

LaBerge led scoring with 15 points. Nelson added 13. Carlson and Brown had 11 points each. Jake Leitz scored five. Nelson and Beery added two each.

The Mules final home game of the regular season was yesterday (Wednesday) against Onalaska. The score was not available by press time.

The Mules travel to Morton/White Pass on Friday and Mossyrock next Tuesday. District play begins on February 5.
