Coming Events--Community Center in Cathlamet

February 7, 2019

Despite the cold temperatures, Wahkiakum is staying busy. It’s a good time to focus on what you want for the year. How will you make each day count? What will you learn? What can you teach others? Before the hibernation is over, set your intentions. The community center is a great place to converge and share ideas. Our computers are available to you, maybe we can help you dust off your resume or perhaps you need some help finding services in town. Stop in and visit if it’s been a while.

Coming up on Feb. 26 @ 6:30 p.m., Wahkiakum Outdoors presents “Adventures Of A Local Game Warden.” Escape the cold and join us at the Hope Center to hear from our own Jay Brightbill. These presentations are always very informative, and feel free to bring any youngsters who may be interested, it is never too late to start dreaming of what you want to become when you grow up.

Today at 1 p.m., anyone interested in volunteering or organizing the Summer Lunch program is invited to come to the community center. Taking care of children, especially the vulnerable, is something that this county does with great heart.

Book Club is tomorrow at 11 a.m., bring your favorite book and enjoy the space, drink some tea and relax. Friday nights are still available to teach a class or host a group for the month of February. Take care of each other, be kind, work hard and stay humble. Have a beautiful weekend, Wahkiakum.
