Loggers edge Mules 4-1

The Wahkiakum Mules baseball team lost to the Loggers in Onalaska last Thursday, 4-1.

“Our pitchers gave 12 free passes with only two hits,” Coach Marc Niemeyer said. “We only had three hits as well but only walked two times. They made some really nice plays and we couldn’t find any open grass.”

Ashden Niemeyer started on the mound. He faced 10 batters, struck out two and walked three. Brody Carlson stepped in and faced the next 14 batters. He struck out one and walked five, allowing two hits and three runs. Luke Brown pitched to the next five batters, striking out one and walking three. The Mules return to play after spring break on April 9, hosting Mossyrock.
