Coming Events--Community Center in Cathlamet

Opportunity can often be hidden deep inside of an obstacle. Sometimes, life pitches the proverbial curveball, catching you off guard. When that happens, in order to digest the obstacle, to find the juicy prospect, a simple perspective adjustment can be the saving grace. Use your mind as a tool for digging into an obstacle, rather than letting it hold you down in despair. Nothing is impossible, change is inevitable and you have the power to bend a setback into a future gift for yourself.

The community center is excited for a new club starting this Saturday, April 6. Photography Club is open to everyone and is free of charge. This will be an ongoing club that gathers every first Saturday of the month, 10-12 noon. Spread your wings and learn something new, you might even make new friends.

SHIBA is also returning for the monthly help session on Tuesday April 16 at 11 a.m. If you need assistance navigating benefits, applying for Medicare or understanding Medicaid, this is a great opportunity to get benefits you may not have known you are eligible for. Their staff is incredibly friendly and look forward to helping the senior and disabled members of the community.

The morning walking group, affectionately called “The Walkers,” invite you to go for an early morning power walk. The group leaves the CC at 9 a.m., sharp, so don’t be late!

The Wahkiakum Outdoors has another exciting presentation coming up on April 23, so mark your calendar and stay tuned for details.

Friday nights are a great time to take your sweetie on a low cost date here at the CC. Movie nights are a lovely way to enjoy popcorn, in great company while catching a flick.

April 7 is the first Sunday of the month which means WAGS is rockin’ 6:30-9:30 -if you love acoustic music, come check them out.

Sandra Sews on Thursdays 10-12, Walt is carving Wood Tuesdays @ 6 p.m., and Cribbage every Wednesday at 7 p.m. So much to do, come and play!
