Tsuga Art Gallery will host a Wahkiakum High School art show through the month of April. Local area high school artists will display their art in 2-D and 3-D mediums.

An artist’s reception will be held at Tsuga Gallery on Thursday, April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Finger food and refreshments will be served and many of the artists from the high school will be there to show and discuss their artwork.

Some of the art will be for sale and all proceeds go to the artists. Sue Garn, the high school art teacher, said the students are very excited to have their pieces displayed at the gallery in a professional setting.

Tsuga Gallery is an art co-op and a non-profit organization created by the late Janet Cimino who’s vision was a local gallery to showcase the talent of local artists, to provide a place for art education, and provide the community with a place to purchase original artwork. Working with and displaying high school art was one of Janet’s visionary goals in hope of nurturing new artists.
