What's happening at the Fair?

April 18, 2019

Wow! April is half over and it is time for a fun filled weekend in Skamokawa. On Friday night head out to the fairgrounds for a night of fun playing bingo. Yes it’s time for Easter Bingo! Cards are 3 for $10.00 and gets you a chance at winning a nice ham for Easter Dinner, the big Raffle Prize is a 42" TV and of course the fair board has been working on prizes for the Raffle Table. Doors open at 5 p.m., and bingo starts at 6 p.m.

Then on Saturday don't forget the Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt at Vista Park. It starts at 11 a.m. on the dot, don't be a minute late or you will miss all the fun. But if you miss it, the Wahkiakum Fair Foundation will hold its 2nd Annual Easter Carnival and Egg Hunt, The carnival starts right after the Lions Club hunt and will be held at the youth building on the fairgrounds. The Egg Hunt is not only for kids so all you adults come on out and get yourself out to find eggs. Hope to see everyone at one of these events or all three of them.

The fair board will hold another bleacher work day on April 27 starting at 10:30 a.m. We would like to get them all put together so we can start using them for the Silver Buckle Series that starts next month.

We are looking for fair royalty. Anyone interested should call the office at (360)795-3480. The fair is going to be in need of some new superindents this year; the T-Building is going to need a Sewing/Quilting and Needlework as well as a Fruits and Vegetable superintendent. If you are interested please call the office as soon as possible.

If you have not marked your calendar for June 1 yet that is the 1st Annual Cruzin to the Fair Car Show. Entry forms are available at the Bank of the Pacific, The Duck Inn and from Fair Board members. Pre-registrations are due by May 24 and cost $15; day of show will be $20. For more information call Patty (360)795-3480 or Kay (360)795-3937.
