It was a full house at the Eighth Grade Moving Up Ceremony at John C. Thomas Middle School last Thursday, as friends and family honored the 49 students who comprise Wahkiakum's Class of 2023.

Below, right, eighth grader Malia Ana Silva introduced the musician who would play the national anthem, Landon Nielsen, as well as the class speakers, Lucas Henry and Sebastian Britt. She also designed the programs for the ceremony.
