Boy oh boy, this county really shines in the summer. It is curiously gratifying when you enjoy a perfectly beautiful day here. The community center is bustling with activity and we invite you to join in on the fun.

Tomorrow night is Free Movie Night, enjoy a great film and some popcorn in the A/C @ 7 p.m.

Do you have a kid at home with an interest in robots? Tuesday, July 30 is a Wahkiakum Outdoors presentation on Robotics! Ron Wright will lead the discussion and there will be hands-on robotic demonstration-don’t miss out.

Our monthly happenings include Photography Club this August 3 @ 10 a.m.-12 and every first Saturday of the month. Acoustic Guitar Society is rockin’ every first Sunday of the month, so catch them this Aug. 4 @ 7 p.m. Health Care Authority will be at the center this and every first Weds. of the month 10-12. SHIBA’s monthly visit will not take place in August. Also, Book Club is every first Fri. of the month.

Weekly happenings include cribbage Weds. at 7 p.m., Sandra Sews 10-12 Thurs. Take Off Pounds Sensibly is Thurs. @ 6 p.m. and Brown Bag social group meets every Fri. at 11 a.m.

Every day M-F you can join the walking group at 9 a.m., leave a random act of kindness in the jar, get on a computer, grab some free books and see some friendly faces. Have a beautiful day, Wahkiakum!
