Horse Gaming Series

August 8, 2019

After the accidental flooding of the arena two weeks ago, we were able to run the third show in the series. We had a very nice turn out with 21 riders in attendance. Results are as follows:

Pee Wee 11 and under: 4. Whitney Ellenbolt, 3. Kaitlyn Jessee, 2. Tru Most and 1. Abby Doan.

It is a very close race between Abby Doan and Tru Most for first place. We really want to keep and eye on them. A very strong contender for 2. is Kaitlyn Jessee. She is new to our series, this being her first year. Watch out Abby and Tru, Kaitlyn is coming on strong. Also new to our series is Whitney Ellenbolt. She is 9 yrs. old and new to gaming. She is doing very well, proving to be a fast learner.

12-18 age group:

5. Bella Norwood, 4. Lucy Kosa, 3. Brooke Myers, 2. Hope Norwood, and 1. Makayla Davis. Makayla has been putting in a lot of time practicing and it has really paid off. She has been leading the series with some really solid times. She has been seeing improvement in one or more event with each gaming show. It is a battel for second between Hope Norwood and Brooke Myers. We have been watching Brooke at our shows for the last 4 years. New this year is Hope Norwood and she has really improved her times since the May show. Makayla should not count either of them out as a contender for first.

19-35 age group: 5. Ashlenn Coleman, 4. Desi Harnsan, 3. Olivia Weisenborn, 2. Mackenzie Matthews, 1. Kristina Heiner. Kristina and Olivia like to trade off taking first. This month was a little different, Mackenzie showed up and placed a very strong 2. It looks like it will be a very close match as to who takes high point in this age group for the series.

36 and over age group: 2. Sunni Thoreson, 1. Susan Potter. Susan is the front runner in this age group. Ed Hunt was running a tight second but had to pull after his horse came up lame.

Novice/ horse or rider: 2. Adrian Cram, 1. Grace Hunt. Grace has shown a lot of improvement this year. Switching horse has really helped. Her riding ability has really improved and it shows in the times that she has been posting. Iliey Reed had to pull after her horse came up lame.

Winner of the Texas Barrels jackpot was Hope Norwood.
