Dethroning Trump a full time obsession

September 5, 2019

To The Eagle:

In last week’s Eagle, Dennis Gordon offers us the dubious choice of catastrophes: re-election of Trump or economic recession. Dubious, because the former is likely to happen, and conjuring up the latter is a last-ditch effort by the Dems and drive-by media to prevent it. Dethroning The Donald has been a full time obsession for this crowd since 2016, and has pretty much blown up in their faces.

The first defenestration effort blossomed into the Russia collusion hoax which has now been exposed as clumsy espionage attempting to simultaneously sabotage Trump while covering up Hillary’s multi-tudinous felonies and misdemeanors. With collusion, obstruction, and impeachment now out of reach, they’ve had to shift their focus to the 2020 election, but the sad crop of wannabes who showed up to vie for the presidency brought a whole new set of problems. The leader of the pack appears to be wandering in the fringes of senility (along with the leader of the Russia probe pack), and all the rest are stampeding leftward through the inappropriate to the impossible (gun control to open borders to free college and health care). Their campaign was best summed up by Bill Shakespeare, 400 years before the fact: “A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

If the Dems shove us toward a recession, don’t participate. When Trump is re-elected, relax and enjoy it.
