To The Eagle:

A quick glance at the front page and on to the letters to the editor. I really enjoy seeing what issues have inspired people to take time to write.

Some letters I agree with, some I laugh at, some I can’t make it through. And then there’s the one that motivates me to pick up the pen.

Case in point: “Every candidate” Sept. 19, is so incredibly arrogant and condescending that I was shocked The Eagle didn’t do some editing. You would think the paper would want to encourage readers to write not belittle their skills. But that’s a topic for a different day.

“Every candidate” appears to be a Forrest Gump fan so I’ll work with that.

There are so many things wrong with his letter, but I will try to keep it brief.

The writer claims if you’re a Trump supporter you’re ignorant and stupid. Also illegals are smart, and fluent in two languages.

Also “every candidate” says he’s 1600 feet from Mexico and where he lives is safer than here. He forgot to mention that 22 people were murdered at Walmart on August 8, and two miles away is Juarez, Mexico. In 2006 Juarez had the title of most violent city in the world. It appears that when they’re not working on the bilingual skills, they are killing each other.

The writer also says “Every candidate would be better than Trump!” Really? Every candidate? Get real.

I’m not a smart man, but I know if I don’t have a job I can’t buy any pistachios.

So, mister, you might want to fire up that search engine and check out your new homeland. Trump won this county and he’s going to win it again. So go ahead and move here, but you won’t like it. This is MAGA country!

That’s all I’ve got to say about that.
