The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Wahkiakum High School cross country runners traveled to Vancouver last Wednesday to compete against teams from eight other schools in a 5,000 meter 1A Trico League Meet.

Titan Niemela led Mule runners in the boys’ race with a time of 22:18 and 42nd place. Kaiden Ray finished with a time of 23:26, taking 53rd place, and Alex Tantum took 68th place with a time of 24:36.

Alexzandria Watkins took 38th place with a time of 33:07 and her sister, Kimberlee, took 41st place with a time of 38:44 in girls’ competition.

The team traveled to Toledo for the Bob Nollan Classic Trail Race on Tuesday, but results were not posted by press time.
