To The Eagle:

Just wow! We certainly do live in interesting times. In the later half of my 8th decade I find myself becoming friends with some quite conservative folks even though by nearly any standard I would be considered a libtard, er, liberal.

I actually believe women have the right to exercise control over their own bodies. I went to school and remember that a baby is born a person but until then is a fetus.

I also am quite comfortable identifying as Atheist but flexible enough in my thinking to accept a Deity if one ever actually presented itself in some way other than legend imagined by sheep herders from antiquity.

I have made friends with some of the most conservative writers to this weekly paper and am quite comfortable disagreeing with their positions on certain issues, including what makes America great.

Some of the issues that have captured the attention of our varied news outlets are intriguing in the different interpretations of what would objectively be considered facts until grabbed up and spun into some sort of smoke screen to cover the emperor so it appears that he is actually wearing clothes.

A rose by any other name is still a rose but the same holds true for any number of other things.
