Lady Mules fall to Toutle Lake, Mossyrock

The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team lost two matches on the road this week.

On Thursday, they traveled to Toutle Lake and lost in three sets: 10-25, 21-25, and 12-25.

“Toutle did a great job of consistently putting aggressive balls over the net that kept us out of system,” Coach Kayli Hurley said. “Combine that with our lack of fire and energy that is our trademark, it was a recipe for nothing good.”

She praised Shantelle Shervey and Amaya Jones for “great defense” and M.J. Neves for “chasing down serve receive balls.”

On Tuesday, the Lady Mules traveled to Mossyrock and lost in three sets: 16-25, 17-25, and 16-25.

Jordyn Watson had six kills and seven digs. Jansi Merz added five kills and Rebekah Neves had two more. Solana Stanley picked up 13 digs. M.J. Neves had seven digs and 11 assists.

The Mules host Adna today (Thursday).
