Wahkiakum High School FFA students have participated in many events throughout the months of September and October. Here are some photos from the activities:

1. J.A. Wendt elementary students listened to students from the WHS fisheries class read from books they had written about native fish and the ways we can help local fish hatcheries.

2. The trapshooting team and other FFA members received a duck call and a wood plaque for community service after helping out at the annual Ducks Unlimited Dinner.

3. The Ag mechanics classes got hands on experience when they helped masons finish the foundation of the new commercial kitchen/fish processing center at the high school.

4: Students traveled to Longview for a Cowlitz County Career Expo, where they got the opportunity to participate in a day on the job site, working on planning, preparation, and the execution of many different trades.

Not pictured: FFA officers Landon Luce, Megan Leitz, Kimberlee Watkins, Alexzandria Watkins, Emmie Niemela, and Courtney Carlson attended the 2019 FFA Evergreen Tour. They spent the day learning how to improve their leadership skills as they take the reins of the local FFA chapter.

Not pictured: Wahkiakum students prepared the ground for the new commercial kitchen/fish processing center being built at Wahkiakum High School. They used shovels and a back hoe to move dirt, carried supplies, solved problems, and assisted workers as needed. Students also ran equipment to clear brush and clean up other spaces around the school.

Not pictured: On National Peace Day, Ag students and Charlotte House employees used pinwheels to create a large peace symbol near the school access road.
