FFCU fulfills Christmas wishes

Fibre Federal Credit Union members and employees helped fulfill the Christmas gift wishes of 115 foster children from Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties.

Fibre Federal Credit Union works with the Foster Parent Association and the Department of Children, Youth, and Families [DCYF], who collect the Christmas lists from locally case-managed foster children. In partnership with the Salvation Army, Fibre Federal Credit Union hangs “Angel Tags” representing each child in their five Longview and Kelso branch locations.

Fibre Federal Credit Union has partnered with DCYF to host this program for many years. The Ocean Beach Walmart hosted the annual tag completion shopping trip. During this trip, FFCU employees and volunteers finish shopping for un-adopted or partially filled tags. This ensures that most of the gifts requested are purchased and guarantees that no foster child in the program will be left out.
