The Naselle-Grays River Valley School District met for its monthly meeting on Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Commons.

After approval of the consent agenda, Graduation Policy 2410 was adopted as presented in December and Policy 1310, Policy Adoption, Manuals, and Administrative Procedures was approved.

Under new business, the board acknowledged the resignation of Nick Nikkila, vice-chairman, after serving the board for the past four years.

The board approved a contract with Erik Fagerland, architect, for renovation of the music/vocational wing.

Football coaches Jeff Eaton, Peter Riley and Matt Scrabeck were recognized with the football team for their second place finish at state.

Superintendent Nelson formally thanked the board for their work and guidance over the past year and presented them with certificates of appreciation.

The next regularly scheduled school board meeting will be Feb. 18 in the Middle School Commons, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
