Wahkiakum wrestlers spend most of their season on the road. This weekend was no different.

The girls joined 15 other teams at a tournament in Auburn called Athena’s Pageant on Saturday.

Makayla Davis was the only one to medal, taking third in her class.

Meanwhile, the boys traveled that day to Vancouver for the Kingsway Tournament.

Cayden Mendez, Phoenix Barley, Eli Moon, and Jeremiah Johnson all got firsts. Jamil Dimaano, Braxton Johns, and Gabe Moon took second in their respective weight classes.

Altogether the boys came away with 18 wins and four losses for the day.

The girls head to subdistrict competition on Friday at W.F. West High School in Chehalis, according to Coach Crystal Davis, while the boys travel to Raymond on Saturday for the postseason.
