MAGA again

June 18, 2020

To The Eagle:

There’s an old saw about the guy with excellent will power – could resist anything but temptation. Regardless of how the China Virus got started, the ChiCom government couldn’t resist the temptation to jockey around with travel policy, disinformation, and monopolistic medical supply practices to turn it into a worldwide pandemic. And then a few blue state governors and mayors couldn’t resist the temptation to turn it into a political football with querulous quarantines and economically disastrous lockdowns.

By imperial decree, the governor of New York ordered hundreds of virus infected patients into nursing homes and extended care facilities over the objections of the administrators and trade associations representing them, causing a staggering number of deaths. Six other eastern governors followed his lead, and the death toll in those seven states comprises 40 percent of the U.S. total. Without those deaths, the pandemic would be back down in the neighborhood of a normal flu season. On the left coast, two sets of governors and mayors have stood by idly as protests over the actions of one bad Minneapolis cop turn into anarchy, looting, and property destruction.

It’s easy to get discouraged in such turbulent times, but there are a lot of bright statistics out there that aren’t being reported in mainstream fake news. Samples: Despite all the cries of racism and oppression by outfits like Black Lives Matter, a late Rasmussen poll show Trump’s approval rating among black voters at 40 percent. People do realize that our problems are mostly in overcrowded democrat-run cities and are lining up in droves to escape. Real estate listings are up 20 percent in Minneapolis, and businesses are fleeing New York and California for Texas and Florida. And the Trump rally in Tulsa on May 20 already has 800,000 reservations for a stadium that holds 20,000.

So just hang in there til November, and we can go to the polls, fire a passel of despotic Democrats, and get back to the business of Making America Great Again --- Again.

BYEDON writes:

The use of stigmatizing language such as “China Virus” will only serve to Make America Racist Again, especially when you consider the recent incidents of coronavirus-related discrimination against Asian Americans. I urge The Eagle to take a stand against bigots by denouncing words of hate and intolerance. No one has time for racism in 2020.
