Two more cases of covid-19; Wahkiakum's total count at 46

December 10, 2020

Wahkiakum Health and Human Services reported two more cases of covid-19 this week, one on Tuesday and another on Wednesday.

Both individuals are in self-quarantine. One has a connection to Wahkiakum School District, but neither have a connection to St. James Family Center.

The school and the health department have been working together to ensure the safety of students and staff, a press release stated today. Because of the stringent measures in place within the school district, including tight cohorts, WSD will remain open.

Person to person spread is active in the county, according to WHHS, which recommends that citizens practice social distancing, staying at home, wearing a mask if you have to socialize, restricting activities to household members only, and to consider holiday plans carefully.
