One case of covid-19 confirmed on Monday; total rises to 55

On Monday, Wahkiakum Health and Human Services reported that another case of covid-19 had been confirmed in a Wahkiakum County resident, bringing the total number to 55.

There is no known connection to the Wahkiakum School District or St. James Family Center.

WHHS is working with the individual to identify anyone who may have had a risk of exposure. The health department will notify people who have had close contact.

There is active community spread of covid-19 in Wahkiakum County, according to the press release from WHHS. They are urging citizens to practice safety measures such as social distancing, staying at home, wearing a mask if you have to socialize, and restricting activities to household members only.
