Public comment sought for transportation plan amendment

The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments (CWCOG), as the lead agency for the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), invites the public to comment on the draft 2020 Southwest Washington Coordinated Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Plan (CPT-HSTP) Amendment.

The CPT-HSTP is a planning document that identifies the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities, seniors, young people, low-income individuals and others dependent on accessible transportation services to get them to where they need to go. It identifies regional strategies and includes a prioritized list of projects that are eligible for funding under Washington State Department of Transportation’s Consolidated Grant Program that includes funding from state and federal sources.

The CWCOG is a multi-purpose association of governments that delivers a diverse array of federal, state and local programs while fulfilling its primary function as a regional planning organization.

The Draft 2020 CPT-HSTP Amendment is available online at http://www.cwcog.org or by request at: CWCOG, Admin Annex, 207 North 4th Avenue, Kelso WA 98626; (360) 577-3041. Written comments may be submitted to the CWCOG, Attention Ken Pearrow, by mail, email to kpearrow@cwcog.org, or fax at (360) 214-3425. Comments should be received by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
