The Wahkiakum Mules baseball team started their season in Morton/White Pass with an 8-7 loss.
“MWP did a great job taking advantage of timely opportunities,” Coach Marc Niemeyer said. “We made several mental errors in every facet of the game. We ended every inning with a big K with runners in scoring position or with a big mental base running error. We will be fine, we just need to execute and have a better mindset.”
Senior Beau Carlson was 3-3 at bat.
The Mules traveled to Raymond on Wednesday and will be in Ilwaco today (Thursday.)
