The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Members of local fire departments will hold a boot drive this weekend in Cathlamet locations to collect donations for Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.

Fire fighters and emergency responders will have the boots out on Main Street, the Birnie Slough bridge, and in Rosedale to raise funds for the hospital which specializes in care for children.

The drive is held in conjunction with the Kiwanis Club of Cathlamet.

All donations will go to providing care for children.
