Meet Our Seniors: Ivan Goldinov

Ivan Goldinov was friendly, but perhaps a little shy about talking to a reporter.

He was happy to share that Mr. Hurley and Mr. Rooklidge were his favorite teachers, but much of that had to do with what he was able to do in their classrooms, which was working with his hands.

Ivan took Ag mechanics with Kyle Hurley, learning to weld and working on small projects. When pressed, Ivan smiled and admitted he might not be too bad at welding.

He also really enjoyed environmental science with Jeff Rooklidge, getting outside in nature, being able to spend time "studying a creek."

As for activities, he was a member of the Future Farmers of America for one year, which wasn't too bad, he says.

After graduation, Ivan plans to be a heavy equipment operator in the Naselle area. Why? Because for fun, he likes to drive a tractor and work an excavator.

He loves farming as well. He already owns some cows, and wouldn't mind having some more.

Ivan is the son of Victor and Natalya Goldinov.
