The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team lost two more games this week, bringing their record to 0-5.

On Tuesday, the Lady Mules traveled to Kalama and lost in three sets, 20-25, 4-25, and 14-25.

"It was a rollercoaster of a night for our ball control and aggression on offense," Coach Kayli Hurley said. "We played some strong defense in set one, but lost our way in set two. Our focus moving forward is taking smart risks and being brave when things on the court feel difficult."

Kamryn Watkins had three kills, Bailey McKinley had two stuff blocks, and Libero Reigha Niemeyer had 13 digs.

Last Thursday, the team hosted Adna, and lost in four sets, 18-25, 14-25, 25-22, and 16-25.

"We showed some improvement over the night tonight on the whole, which is a major focus for us," Coach Kayli Hurley said.

Megan Leitz had eight kills and 13 digs. McKinley added five kills. Watkins had three kills, two aces, and six digs. Setter Courtney Carlson had four kills and 17 assists. Niemeyer was responsible for 13 digs and Hurley praised her for "stellar serve receive."
