Maxine Theresa McCormack Robeson, 91, former resident of Cathlamet and member of St Catherine Catholic Church, died September 9, 2021 at St. Joseph's Long Term Care Center in Spokane. Maxine was born October 11, 1929 in Colville to Patrick Francis and Marguerite (Reeder) McCormack of Chewelah. She was christened on October 30, 1929 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chewelah. At age 91, Maxine was the last surviving child of Frank and Marguerite, her brother Joseph Francis McCormack and sister Delores Rose Schmeller, preceded her in death. Maxine's father was an immigrant from Ireland. She graduated from Jenkins High School in Chewelah in 1947.

Maxine married James A. Robeson on August 24, 1947. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her role as caregiver for her family. Her family was very important to her. Maxine enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, traveling, and loved a drive in the country. She was a humble, quiet, unpretentious woman. The center of her life was strong faith through the Catholic Church, and her family and friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband James A. Robeson, in September 2004, and son Dwight Robeson, June 2021. She is survived by daughter Mary Kirpes (Eugene) of Colville; sons, Richard Robeson of Chewelah, Ernie Robeson (Debra) of Spokane, Jerry Robeson (Pamela) of Medical Lake, and Charles Robeson (Laurie) of Spokane; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her and knew her.

Maxine's funeral mass and rosary was held September 17, 2021 at St. Mary of the Rosary Catholic Church in Chewelah. A graveside service followed at St. Mary of the Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Chewelah. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory was entrusted with the arrangements. ​
