The name of one of Wahkiakum County's new deputy sheriff's was misspelled in last week's edition. He is Jerod Keogh.

The article submitted by VFW Post 5297 for the October 14 contained an error stating prizes for essay contest winners. The national first-place winner receives a $30,000 scholarship, not $3,000.
