Lady Mules fight for footing on the diamond

Lady Mule Reigha Niemeyer tags a Kalama runner at the plate.

The Wahkiakum Mules softball team lost three games this week.

On Wednesday, they lost to Kalama at home, 16-5. Reigha Niemeyer went 2 for 3 at the plate and had an RBI. Alaya Cripe also went 2 for 3. Evelyn Hogue went 1 for 2 with one walk and scored two runs.

On Monday, the Lady Mules lost two in a double header in Winlock, 19-9 and 19-5. Miya Kerstetter went 2 for 2 at the plate with one RBI in the first game, and Breyonna Montgomery was 2 for 2 with three RBIs in the second game.

Wahkiakum is scheduled to travel to Toutle Lake today (Thursday), to South Bend on Friday and to host Stevenson next Monday and Onalaska next Thursday. District begins on May 16.
