Election officials across Washington state last week updated vote tallies from the August 2 primary election, and on Tuesday afternoon, incumbent Congresswoman Jamie Herrera Beutler conceded her race with fellow Republican Joe Kent.

According to the Washington Secretary of State Tuesday afternoon report, Kent had 49,515 votes and Herrera Beutler had 48,587.

In Washington's primary elections, only the top two candidates advance to the general election, regardless of party affiliation.

Democrat Marie Guelsenkamp Perez leads the race with 30.97% of the vote. Herrera Beutler, a Republican, was in second place in initial counting, with Trump endorsed Republican Joe Kent in third place. However, as of Tuesday, Kent had 22.74% of the vote and Herrera Beutler 22.31%.

The elections are to be certified next Tuesday. Here are Tuesday's updated results:

Wahkiakum County

Prosecuting Attorney: Dan Bigelow D (incumbent) 1,042; Holly McKeen I 862.

County Commissioner, Dist. 3: Eugene C. "Gene" Strong I (incumbent) 381; write-in 72.

Former Commissioner Blair Brady had announced he would be a write-in candidate for the election, and that he would need approximately 10 votes to qualify. Brady said Monday that he had received 71 votes. The race involved only voters in District 3; the general election will be county wide.

West Puget Island Precinct Committee Officer, Republican: Tom Merz 121, Tom Shofner 46.

All other local candidates were unopposed: Assessor candidate Falon Hoven; Auditor Nikki Bergseng; Clerk Kay Holland; Sheriff Mark Howie; and Treasurer Tammy Peterson.

Pacific County

All candidates for local offices were unopposed: Assessor Bruce Walker; Auditor Joyce Kidd; Clerk Emma Rose; Sheriff Robin Souvenir; Treasurer Renee L. Goodin; Prosecuting Attorney Michael Rothman, and Commissioner, Dist. 3, Michael "Hawk" Runyon.

Wahkiakum County: Tiffany Smiley R 699; Patty Murray D (incumbent) 698; Leon Lawson Trump party (T) 235.
