The Naselle Comet football team came up just short last weekend of advancing to the state Class B1 football semifinal. Principal Justin Laine offered this report: So proud of our Comet players and coaches. They traveled to Moses Lake to play a game in sub-freezing temperatures against #1 ranked, undefeated, perennial powerhouse Odessa. They fought right up to the very end before falling by a score of 76-74. They played with tremendous heart, toughness, and resilience.

Our coaches had them well prepared. I could not be more proud of how our coaches and players represented themselves, their families, our school, and community. Thank you for a wonderful season and a gritty effort.
