LCC Athletics 2023 Hall of Fame class announced

Five individuals and a championship baseball team will soon be inducted into the Lower Columbia College Athletics Hall of Fame.
The latest class will be honored at a reception at Myklebust Gymnasium during the Red Devils basketball double header on Wednesday February 15. LCC will host the South Puget Sound Clippers with the women's game at 5:30 p.m., and the men's game at 7:30 p.m. The Hall of Fame reception gets underway at 5:30 p.m., with inductees and their guests in the classroom above the gymnasium. Fund-raising raffle tickets will be on sale with the proceeds benefitting LCC student/athlete scholarships. The 2023 Hall of Fame class will be introduced at halftime of the men’s game.
The following are this year's honorees:
Dr. Walburga Martin, Women’s Soccer 1997; Scott McDaniel, Baseball 1989-90, Baseball Coach 1995-98; Jaime (Johnston) Amrine, Basketball and Softball 1996-97, 1997-98; James Tims, Basketball 1967-68; 1968-69, Harlan Cruser, Coach/Supporter; 1981 NWAC Champion LCC Baseball Team under the leadership of head coach Scott Carnahan.
The 1981 LCC Baseball team will be honored during the current Red Devils home baseball double header on Saturday April 29 against Pierce College.
Prizes to be raffled during the Hall of Fame event include premium Trail Blazer courtside seats, diamond earrings from Diamond Showcase, a 6-round golf package, a Skamania Lodge Getaway for two, and a Roland Wines basket. Tickets are just $5 per ticket and can be purchased at the event. The winning tickets will be drawn after the halftime Hall of Fame ceremony.
