The Wahkiakum Mules track team traveled to Adna on Friday for a 1B/2B/1A meet with six other teams.

The boys scored 28 points for a seventh place finish in team competition, and the girls finished with one point and seventh place.

Top six finishers for the boys include:

200 meters — 5. Declan Hendricks 26.21 PR; 400 meters — 2. Landon Nielsen 56.68; Shot put — 2. Nielsen 40; Javelin — 5. Nielsen 115-5; Long jump — 2. Nielsen 18-2 PR.

Top six finishers for the girls include:

200 meters — 6. Jade Mahitka 33.43.

The Mules return to competition after spring break with a league meet in Winlock on April 18.

The Comets competed in a league meet with seven other teams in Ilwaco on Thursday. Naselle placed fifth in girls team competition with 68 points and fourth in boys team competition with 87 points.

Top six finisher for the boys include:

200 meters — 4. Jayden Ding 26.17; 400 meters — 2. Derek Suomela 55.44; 1600 meters — 3. Jacob Pakenen 5:45.35; Shot put — 5. Tyler Kirkman 34-9; Discus — 3. Kirkman 124-8; Javelin — 1. Brayden Colombo 135-5, 3. Kirkman 124-5.5; High jump — 2. Suomela 5-8; Pole vault — 2. Pakenen 10-6; 3. Ding 9-6; Long jump — 2. Suomela 18-10, 5. Pakenen 16-11; Triple jump — 4. Ding 35-5.5.

Top six finishers for the girls include:

100 meters — 2. Mylee Dunagan 14.47, 3. Bella Colombo 14.64; Shot put — 5. Paige Haataja 25-8; Javelin — 1. Colombo 100-1 PR; High jump — 2. M. Dunagan 4-6; Pole vault — 3. Colombo 6-6 PR; Long jump — 1. M. Dunagan 14-3; Triple jump — 1. Dunagan 31-8 PR, 3. Colombo 28-9.5.

The Comets travel to the Henrie-Weisel Tri-District Meet in Raymond on Thursday.
