The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Last Wednesday, Wahkiakum hosted Ilwaco and Winlock at Skyline Golf Course. The Wahkiakum boys had the lowest team score of the day and the season, 167, and were seven strokes away from the team's all-time lowest regular season score. Brodie Avalon led the field with a 40, followed by Kyler Sause, 41, Sebastian Britt, 42, Zakk Carlson who played in his first match of the year, 44, and Harley Popp, 55. The Ilwaco boys shot 216 as a team and Winlock shot 245.

The Wahkiakum girls ended the day with a team score of 239 but fell short of the Ilwaco girls who totaled 235. The Mules were led by Avrey Wiltse-Hiatt who shot a 50, followed by Brie Cothren, 53, Jessie Lefever, 66, and Kaidence LaBarge, 70.
