Hunter Ed course offered

A Hunter Education Course is scheduled for August 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and August 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elochoman Slough Marina covered area.

This is a traditional course that is designed for new or inexperienced hunters; however anyone who wishes can take this course.

The course includes handling firearms safely, conservation, sportsmanship, and field training.

This is considered an outside venue; the use of masks is optional.

All students must pre-register online at WDFW-hunting-hunter ed-traditional course.

Anyone born after January 1, 1972, that wishes to purchase a hunting license in Washington State must take and pass a hunter education course.
