Robotics Fundraiser, May the 4th

The Mecha Mules Robotics Booster Club is hosting a fundraiser at the Robot Room at Wahkiakum High School Saturday May 4th, beginning at 11:00am and ending about 2:00pm. This year we qualified for, and sent teams to, Regional and State in FIRST Tech Challenge, SkillsUSA, and Seaperch. We are again sending a team to Seaperch Internationals in Maryland to defend our World Championship title. While we have been successful in writing grants to cover most of our equipment costs, and the school district is very supportive, we are so successful that we again need to ask for more help from the community.

This year we are combining our fundraising into one day: Saturday May 4th, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Some of our team members will be washing cars for donations in the parking lot and on the concrete pad between the shop and the wrestling room, Some team members will be supervising driving our Seaperch robots in the pool, and driving our FTC and stock robots in the Robot Room. We will also be selling a few gift baskets and other items, and several types of baked goods. There will be something for everyone! Come and ask questions about how we are representing Wahkiakum County, and helping to put our county on the map.

In addition to this fundraiser day, we are also initializing our Mecha Mules Booster Club Business Sponsor program. While at the fundraiser, visit with Julie Burke, our fundraising chair, to learn how your company can get in on the launching, with the Wahkiakum Mecha Mules as they take flight on "May the Fourth be with you".
