April 14 8:49 a.m. A concerned citizen reported finding a key fob, keys, and ChapStick after an event at the Pioneer Center and turned them in to dispatch. 11:34 a.m. A caller on SR4 near Bunker Hill Rd. reported a vehicle driving erratically and swerving. 12:25 p.m. The Grays River Fire District responded to transport an elderly Deep River resident who was unconscious to the hospital. 12:42 p.m. A driver on SR4 near Bjorsgard Rd. called to report that a fifth wheel was stuck and was blocking the westbound lane. 1:07 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies assisted a Cathlamet resident who had locked their keys in their vehicle.
April 15 12:01 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report a tow truck on a neighboring property that had recently experienced theft, and the caller did not believe this was a legitimate tow. Deputies surveyed the situation and found a tow truck with a vehicle on it, but could not find a driver or anyone else nearby. 12:14 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist an elderly Cathlamet resident who had shortness of breath and dizziness. 3:55 p.m. A Rosburg resident reported hearing a what they believed to be a gunshot very close by on Altoona-Pillar Rock Rd. The callers reported that they heard only one but had never heard a gunshot so close and requested that deputies increase patrols in the area. 5:43 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report two motorcycles driving at a high rate of speed without helmets. Deputies made contact with the riders and informed them that they must wear helmets. 8:03 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded by transporting a sick Cathlamet resident to the hospital.
April 16 10:09 a.m. A concerned citizen in Skamokawa called to report animal cruelty for an emaciated horse. 10:30 a.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that during a walk on Columbia Street, a dog jumped the fence of their yard and attacked their dog. 10:54 a.m. A caller on SR4 called to report that a vehicle was parked on the side of the road on the white line, and its mirror was sticking out into the roadway. Deputies found the vehicle and asked the driver to park in a broader space; the driver agreed. 1:45 p.m. A caller on Risk Rd. in Cathlamet called to request affidavits on six junk vehicles. 4:28 p.m. A driver found keys on the side of the road on SR4 and Bjornsgard Rd .; one set of keys looked to be for a storage unit and the other appeared to be for a vehicle. 4:36 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to request that deputies drive by and check on their vehicle after it broke down on the side of SR4. 6:50 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies assisted a driver on Puget Island who locked their keys in their vehicle. 7:37 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that unknown people had been driving on their property and trespassing. Deputies learned the trespasser was driving through the property to access another property; nothing seemed to be stolen, and the deputy found no damage.
April 17 9:52 a.m. A Skamokawa resident called to report that they were being harassed by a former partner who drove into their driveway; deputies told the resident they would need to talk to the court about their options. 11:13 a.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who was having chest pain. 12:56 p.m. A Cathlamet resident turned in a children’s scooter that they found in the picnic pavilion at Erickson Park. 6 p.m. A Skamokawa resident called to report that a basketball hoop was continually being blown over and blocking the southbound lane near the Middle Valley Bridge. Deputies spoke with the owner who said they would keep it out of the road. 6:15 p.m. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of a possible landslide near Stella; deputies reported that the landslide had been cleared away. 7:30 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report their neighbor’s dogs have been coming into their yard and barking at their cows. 7:44 p.m. A caller on Beaver Creek Rd. reported that a vehicle which had been parked on the side of the road was hit by another car though it was not blocking the roadway; no injuries were reported. 8:11 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who was having chest pains. 8:52 p.m. A driver on SR4 called to report two large trees were partially blocking the eastbound lane on the east side of KM Mountain. 9:21 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that their neighbors dogs were out again.
April 18 11:45 a.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that their grandson found a backpack on the beach full of clothes still with security tags attached. 2:47 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist a Cathlamet resident with a possible seizure. 9:33 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that their neighbor’s dogs were out again. 10:20 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who had a shoulder injury.
April 19 7:24 a.m. A Grays River resident called to report that unwanted dogs were coming onto their property, and it had been an ongoing issue. 11:26 a.m. A Grays River resident called to report that former tenants were on their property without permission and had taken their dog. Deputies followed up with the alleged suspect and learned they were actually a current tenant and were allowed to be there; deputies were still trying to find information on the dog. 9:47 p.m. The Grays River Ambulance responded to assist a Rosburg resident who was sick.
April 20 8:45 a.m. A Grays River resident called to report that loose dogs who appeared to be huskies showed up on their porch looking hungry. 11:08 a.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that the same vehicle was frequently driving erratically up and down the road on West Birnie Slough Rd. 12 p.m. A concerned citizen called to report seeing a Post Office vehicle driving around and found it odd because it was Sunday and a holiday. 7:34 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who was having breathing troubles and shoulder pain.
