RESOLUTION NO. 62-25
A RESOLUTION CLOSING STEAMBOAT SLOUGH COUNTY ROAD
FROM MILEPOST 0.40 TO MILEPOST 4.79 AND
BROOKS SLOUGH ROAD FROM MILEPOST ZERO TO 2.59
WHEREAS, based upon the report and recommendation of the County Engineer, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that the Wahkiakum County 4-H Council sponsored Great White Tail Run located on Steamboat Slough County Road and Brooks Slough Road necessitates the closure of said roads on Saturday, May 17, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Section 47.48.010 of the Revised Code of Washington grants authority to the Board of County Commissioners to restrict travel on county roads when conditions demand it;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED,
as follows:
Section 1: Steamboat Slough County Road between milepost 0.40 and milepost 4.79 and Brooks Slough Road from milepost zero to 2.59 shall be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Section 2: The County Engineer is directed to post signs indicating the road closure established in Section 1 of this Resolution.
Section 3: Upon posting of signs and publication of a Public Notice in the Wahkiakum County Eagle any person violating the terms of this Resolution shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
