Rainier FFA to hold annual plant sale

The Rainier chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA) is back with their annual plant sale the first half of May. All plants are grown by Rainier agricultural students, and the sale is held at the greenhouses near Hudson Park Elementary parent parking lot. Last year’s selection included hanging baskets, vegetable starts and succulents.

Rainier FFA focuses on making a positive difference in the lives of local students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

According to the website, “FFA is a national youth organization that develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success.”

The plant sale will take place at 28170 Old Rainier Rd. in Rainier the following dates and times: Friday, May 9, from 3 to 5 p.m.; Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For info, email ffa@rsd.k12.or.us.
