The RiverTime in Rainier free summer concert series is back for another season. The event kicks off Wednesday, June 4 with the band Hit Machine. The series runs in Rainier City Park along the Columbia River, with live music from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday through Aug. 27. Tina Curry is the event producer and shared that the event is returning for the 2025 season due to the positive community response in 2024. “Guests enjoyed the opportunity to experience multiple styles of music, without driving, all the while supporting local artists,” said Curry.
The event is sponsored by Dyno Nobel, a global leader in blasting technology, commercial explosives and mining services with a location on Deer Island; and ColumbiaCountyDirectory.com, a local guide featuring businesses around the county.
A variety of food vendors and local artisans will be offered at each week’s events. According to Curry, a sample list of vendors and food choices include Mexican food, gyros, corn on the cobb, gourmet pop corn, sausages, pizza breads, and hot dogs, among other options. Sample vendors include local farmers market participants like Moonchild Gypsies, Christina’s Chest, The Columbia Bakehouse, Rainier Gardens Farms, LLC Bobalastic, and Brogan Made - Mushrooms.
“Please support the series and the vendors so it will continue to 2026,” Curry said. “It is a free concert series so that guests can spend dollars with our vendors and make it a success for everyone involved. Guests may also enjoy adult beverages in the permitted area.” This year’s series also features an all-ages challenge course with kids receiving a toy from a treasure chest upon completion.
Musical artists planned for June include Rae Gordon Band (June 11); Jim Fischer Sing A Long Piano (June 18); and Steelhead (June 25). The full schedule can be found on the RiverTime in Rainier Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/RiverTimeinRainierOregon.
