Jazz on the River comes to Little Island Creamery June 8

On Sunday, June 8 from 3-5 p.m., Portland jazz singer Shirley Nanette, along with the Beacon Street Titans, will be getting the music cooking for an afternoon of dancing and dining at Little Island Creamery on Puget Island (448 E. Little Island Rd.). Chef Jordan Wilson from Astoria's Surf2Soul will serve up some spice with Moroccan lamb and yogurt sauce, rice pilaf, roasted vegetables, green salad and a seasonal fruit tart served with Little Island Creamery ice cream. Beer will be provided by River Mile 38.

"This is our second time collaborating with the Astoria Jazz Festival and Bruce Watts and we are so excited for this next concert," said Little Island Creamery Events Coordinator Delphine Criscenzo. "Bruce selected the band and Shirley Nanette based on our desire to have an event where people would get up and dance, and Miss Nanette knows exactly how to do that. We are also excited to work with Chef Jordan Wilson again and can't wait to taste the Moroccan lamb in yogurt sauce and rice pilaf. Jordan is a very creative culinary artist out of Astoria and he does a stellar job incorporating our products into his food. Little Island Creamery is always looking for ways to bring innovative music and events that are not yet happening to the community."

People are still talking about last year's Jazz on the River. You won't be disappointed again this year when the Beacon Street Titans and Shirley Nanette return to Little Island Creamery. Tickets are $85 and are available for purchase at eventbrite.com. For more information, email Events@littleislandcreamery.net or call 360-849-9373 Ext. 2.
