Early August events come to Creamery

The folks at Little Island Creamery Farm Store (448 East Little Island Rd.) are thrilled to announce the store’s relocation to the Little Island Kitchen and Meeting Rooms building. A special “Welcome” celebration will be held on Friday, Aug. 1 from noon to 4 p.m. The Farm Store features the Creamery’s award-winning Brie, a variety of cheese curds, sweet cream butter, fresh eggs and beef products (when available.) The store also has Little Island Creamery items such as T-shirts and sweatshirts, beanies, onesies, canvas totes, gym bags, cheese boards, knives and coffee cups. Come and see the new space and tour the creamery with a visit to meet the newest girls in the barn, Norma Jean and Nation. Attendees can also enjoy a root beer float with River Mile 38 root beer and Little Island Creamery ice cream.

Little Island Creamery will be serving up a delicious farm to table experience when it hosts Island Burger & Beer on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. This event will feature Little Island Creamery products, including beef, cheeses, and ice cream. Local farmer and chef Fred Johnson will be preparing Chef’s Choice Beef burgers with all the sides, summer salads fresh from the garden, and a side dish featuring Little Island Creamery artisan cheese. The dessert will be peach cobbler with Little Island Creamery’s signature vanilla ice cream. The dinner also features River Mile 38 beer and root beer. Vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options available upon request. Additional non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.
