Celebrating its 10th year of educating students, Washington Connections Academy, a tuition-free virtual public school for grades K-12, began the 2025-26 school year this week with online classes for new and returning students. Washington Connections Academy proudly supports more than 2,600 students across the state with its comprehensive online learning curriculum and career readiness offerings, fostering a foundation for lifelong learning.

Washington Connections Academy offers a comprehensive virtual school experience that keeps students motivated and engaged with a strong circle of support and a deep sense of belonging. The school's team of supportive and experienced educators, specially trained in online instruction, establish meaningful connections with students, helping them achieve their full potential and reach their goals. Parents and caregivers are involved in the learning journey as their child's Learning Coach serving as their mentor and guide through the school day.

With their future success in mind, students have access to a wide range of college and career readiness offerings that integrate traditional academic subjects with industry-leading, career-focused options like IT, business, health sciences and marketing. Through partnerships with organizations such as Coursera, Credly and The Home Depot, students can practice critical thinking, communication, teamwork and leadership abilities. Coursera also offers students the chance to earn entry-level professional certificates from top companies, including Google, IBM, Meta and Salesforce. These offerings provide students the chance to engage in career exploration and industry networking, inspiring them to build confidence, create connections and chart a path toward their future career goals.

“This year marks 10 years of Washington Connections Academy empowering students across the state with a high-quality education,” said Interim School Leader at Washington Connections Academy Jodie Dean. “This milestone year is a testament to our sustained commitment to educational excellence. We’re delighted to welcome new and returning students back for another year of learning and success.
